Mikaeel Syed
Sales & Investor Relations Analyst in London. Self-taught in Claude Code. Building tools where it matters.
I work at an alternative investment fund in London, supporting senior salespeople on investor targeting, DDQs, pitch materials, and CRM operations. What makes the role interesting is the work around it: rebuilding how analyst work gets done.
I studied Finance at Bayes Business School and fell into alternative asset management, which is how I ended up where I am. Most of what I've shipped in the last year is either internal AI tooling at work or side projects I wanted to exist.
I started using Claude Code in 2025 with zero coding background. The first working webapp went live a few weeks later. Since then I've built agents, dashboards, and research workflows inside the firm, and personal apps on the side. The thing that changed for me wasn't the code. It was realising how much ambient friction in a job is just missing software.
Outside of work I read and train. I believe in physical practice as a counterweight to screen work.
The longer arc I'm working toward is building things that compound. Tools, writing, products, something of my own eventually. This site is a marker for that.
